OK , so in my playing around with faulty AMIGA cards I have always been wishing for a riser card that will let me get too every part of a card in my A2000 without any hastle . As their does not seem to be one for the purpose I have decided too build my own , and put it out for anybody to make / use .
Very simple really , two zorro edge connectors , one for the zorro slot and the other a socket for the card . All traces are just straight through , a 1 to 1 design .
About 12cm long should do , maybe13cm to clear the frame of the A2000 .

So , here it is , the same both sides and enough copper to carry current for the card .
Just need to wait for the PCB’s to arrive . I have gone for HASL finish , but HARD GOLD would be better ( and more expensive ) .
Zorro Riser Gerber ( this is a ZIP file ) .
As it is a Zorro slot ( with no polarising pin ) it can go either way around
I should have left a bit more space at the edge of the card , but otherwise good !

Time to solder the connector on . I have left an extra portion of connector without pins to use to strap larger cards on , I don’t know if this will be necessary but just in case .

Plenty of room to work around the card !
Project finished , and a very good addition to the AMIGA toolkit !
I have corrected the space at the edge of the card in the gerber linked above .
So download get them made , and happy AMIGA repairing !!
